I us SongRamp web ring, http://www.songramp.com but they seem like a sleeper. I don't get any leads on my site. I get lots of hits but no contacts. I'd say most of the sites are "template sites" They don't look very professonal and some take forever to load, some don't even load. If you go to, www.kellydunn.com Scroll down to the bottom of my page and you'll Previous 15 | Previous | Next | Next 15
The logo doesn't appear like it did before but the link buttons do. Maybe it's my background color...you get the idea!
If you are seeking gigs I use an online service named, "gigmasters.com". I'm not crazy about their rating system but that's another story ...
I've gotten more response from that site than all the others as far as gigs.
I'm fairly new there so I don't have a gig through them yet.
But I get one or two gig requests per week. Many times the venue needs me on a night that I'm booked or they are too far away for the money they pay.
Although, since you are Country like me check out your local CLear Channel radio station. Here in Detroit I am one of the very few independent local artists listed on their web site. Can't get airplay but I'll take the link
I get calls and emails and web site hits from them because they are so large.
To qualify you have a stand-alone web site and are playing locally and they will link your site for free.
There's other secret ways to move your name up in the Google charts but those are secrets that people pay for
If you email me I'll tell you a few of them pro bono. Type Kelly Dunn into Google and you'll see what I mean!
